After that, you're scoping RF, so you can NOT use a polarized capacitor - you can make it explode due to gassing as it tries to pass current from the tip into the monitor/tester

So non-polarized Disc...best way...one lead soldered to the probe tip and the other to the test center conductor or positive lead of the test cable - with shield being of course, ground.

I'm not trying to be rude here but...
I though you said you fix radios...

Foy you to not understand the 103 Disc Cap and value - I just need to switch gears. But what you will find is not one cap out there now is going to show you or teach you how to translate it's value - you'll have to recognize it.

Capacitormarkings.jpg

Some schematics have already defaulted to this marking scheme - Inductors and Resistors also use it.

Note that some use the "P" designation - that means you can read it direct else - like the 223 is 0.022 uF in reference value from older days...

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
