Man did I score on this one! It is in absolutly a+ perfect condition and totally stock.

Paid a whopping 50.00 at a garage sale!

It is the U.S. version and I'm wondering if it can be modded for the extra channels like the export without a big to do.Possibly changing out the swr/cal/rf switch for the freq. controll.

All input is appreciated'

If I remember correctly, if you have one that has the older pll in it, it can be expanded the same as the older 148's and Grants. If it's the 8719 pll then it should go from 27.815 to 28.085.

    Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
