My neighbor has his new tech ticket,he asked if I would post this question for him,is it possible to get a 148 to work on the 10 meter voice 28.300-28.500 range by changing a crystal or is it a daydream he is having,thanks for any replies and take care.

with a crystal change usb could be used. it might be just as easy for him to trade the 148 for a cheaper export. if he wants to use fm in the future he will need to upgrade his licence to a general or extra. currently the only 10m phone privlages a tech has is ssb (10m is upper ssb)
