I usually run my export radios.
Jumped in my old pick-up today just because and went on the 50 mile commute to work. Heard a couple locals and one switched out his galaxy 29 to a 949 with a d104/m6 mic.
Cut in and asked him what he had the mic set on and radio, as it sounded clean, not overmodded.
Everyone was yelling at me as I was sounding stronger than normal.
It was not believed I was running a bone stock 148 into a tx star 350 to a wilson 5k.
I guess this sounds better than my other junk. Kind of makes me rethink buying the S9 to replace my 55 in the new truck.

its hard to beat a 148/grant w/a ts 350
my first base was a washington w/ a ts 667v had lots
of audio and power to spare.as much as i like my magnums
i think my grant xl with a d104m6b could be a tad louder

I run a grant and a 667 base and my kid has my old 29 with no driver feeding a sweet 16.

I think the amp makes the set up.
