2 element Gizmotchy

Beware the bogus claims on gain. Its 12dB but it doesn't say dBd or dBi. Given dBi gives a bigger number it is probably dBi. But dBi is an antenna in free space and we don't work in free space . DBd is referenced to a dipole therefore dBd is the more accurate figure for comparison and given the gain of a dipole is 2.15dBi, 12dBi is as near to 10dBd as dammit. 10dB is a 10x gain so it emits a signal 10 times that you'd get from a dipole with the same power from the rig. Hope you followed that.

The claim that 12dB leads to a 21x gain is a complete lie though. It would have to be 13dB to get a 20x gain. Normally that'd leave me to question the front to back claim of 23dB but given that's comparable to other 2 ele yagis its probably quite near the truth.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
