2510 LCD question

The bulb in my 2510 blew out, the LCD still works fine. I'm not thrilled about the fruity orange color it originally came with, I was wondering if I could change it to green with a LED?

you can use a LED that has a built in resistor to use with 8 to 12 volts or you can use a regulator, 7805 with a series resistor with the old supply wires. Any color you want, don't use RED!!! (ugly)

Ive tried a new style blue repacement bulb you can find them with the resistor already installed i buy them in bulk there actually pretty nice as far as brightening up the display or some radios meters
