Hi guys, I got a used 257 from Ebay, yea I know Ebay, anyway it came with a road king copy mic, which works but doesn't sound very good on SSB. I have a few Magnum electric condenser mics so I hooked it up and Notta, no power on pin 6. Does anyone know which capicator blows up if hooked up wrong and where it might be on the chassis? I did look at the wiring on the chassis and see it's connected to the power switch but just can't find the capicator that is supposed to be inline. Any help would be appreciated before I give it a vacation to California at the Radio Shop or the good old boys in Tennessee
