25Mhz odd stations...

And anyway the INTENT of the regulations is to forbid one from repeating the content of (can't listen to this) transmissions to any other third parties.

Personal listening to anything in your home? Enforcement is impossible.

unless you have one of those #369-69 receiver triangulator detector kits from radio shack

What is happening is M.U.F. which is maximum usable frequency. The MUF hasn't reached up to the 11 meter band.

I read that link and all I got out of it was a headache. :headbang:censored::headbang

What I dont get is how he is hearing a 97.9 frequency on a 25 frenquency device. Is this splatter or just some freakish event. I will be the first to admit I am not the brightest star in the sky, but I am definitely confused here.

Its an uplink, that means it the studio audio transmitted "a short distance" to the main FM transmitter station building, I also wanted to note that the same station is on two AM frequincies, the only reason I can think is that its a stereo uplink with right on one frequency an left on another?

The broadcaster is using a 25MHz frequency to link their studio to their transmitter site.

Incoming Region Produces X3 Solar Flare
    May 15, 2024 @ 14:55 UTC
Another major solar flare, but this time from an active region just beginning to turn into view off the east limb. It is possible that the group responsible is old AR 3654 from the previous rotation. The latest flare, an X2.99 event just peaked at 14:38 UTC (May 15). Stay tuned

Please advise me to what is a good replacement mic for my SR-497HPC... Answer: 497 is "wired like Cobra", so many choices available. That radio does not need a power mic, so purchase a stock "coffin style" mic with a decent cord, like the ones that Astatic uses. The Superstar DM-507 is my go-to. https://www.ebay.com/itm/3050474478...adANq91JSiEEnz8EGqPJRBloTgEyaVsBoCtoMQAvD_BwE $12.99 + .99 cent shipping.
