Hi Guys,
A friend of mine {real not me} a couple of years ago hooked his Miarge 2970 up backwards. Bad news!!! I got the radio going agian, Replace the 2sb754,2sa473,filter cap,repaired a blown trace. The radio will put out if I unplug the linear relay{8-10watts with mod.} but if I plug it back in it just barely shakes the needle. I checked the linear for burned up parts and there are none. Also checked the diodes on the bottom. The relay seems to be kickin in. I though it could be the 2sd1406 but didn't have one but i did replace i with a TIP3055 to see if the amp would key up but to no avail. My friend is on some hard times right now {work wise} and can't afford to have a real tech fix it. I told him i'd give it a try. If any one could give me some advice I'd sure be gratefull. I'd like to give him his radio back for Christmas to pick him up a bit.
