I also ran a fgan kit on my 2995DX and it NEVER got hot and as far as disturtion is concerned, i have not had anyone tell me it sounded bad, sooo.

My 2990 transmit is sometimes distorted, and sometimes it is not. I have no fan kit on it, but I use an external fan. The amount of variable watts I run into it doesn't seem to matter. The type of mike (flat or D104) I use doesn't seem to matter. It gets really bad sometimes. I always get my rated swing at 150 watts so, I don't think the pills are bad. Does anybody have a clue?
