2m 5/8 wave, wanting to convert it to 10m big coil, OR 6m with very little loading

I have a 2m 5/8 wave that uses a UHF type mount, and has a 50 something inch long whip on top, with a small 12 turn coil in the base.

I am thinking about removing the small coil and building a coil from copper tubing to load it on the base... But then I was thinking I could do a 6m antenna and have very little loading coil if any at all

if it is a 2 meter 5/8 wave it should tune up ok on 6 meters already. i use mine on my pickup for 2 meter and use my mfj 6 meter ssb on it to talk when propagation is good.

yeah on 6 mine is a little short. 2.75 swr at the bottom of the band, it goes UP UP UP from there

I was thinking about buying some 1/4" soft copper tubing and winding a nice fat coil on the bottom... kinda like the Predator 10k cb antenna

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
