would a 102" ss whip work good on 2 meters?

also what would you have to cut it down to....3/4 or 5/8 wave

Just make it any odd multiples of 1/4 wave lenghts (1/4, 3/4, 11/4 etc....). 1/4 wave length is roughly 19.25 inches, so just figure out the closest lenght to 102 and go from their.

If you want to go 5/8 wave you will have to put a matching coil on the bottom as 5/8 wave is not a resonant length. If yu read my first post you would see that I said odd multiples of 1/4 wave lengths. So try 58 inches and work form there. That would be 3/4 wave.

Hope this helps

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
