I looked at the DXSpot map this morning and saw some U.S. activity on 144.200. I connected my elk antenna to the 857 and sure enough there was some activity, heard K0CIY in OK- QRZ says its 580 miles away. Unfortunately I was already late to leave for work, so no time for a quick QSO
 

Just listen to FM Broadcast to find conditions, in my experience.

When stations are interfering with each other, especially in the early daylight hours, 2M is open.

    Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
