I have only seen business band/public safety radios configured for these frequencies. Is there anyway, short of buying a public safety radio, modify an existing transciever to tx these freqs? Some background on why, I am an Paramedic and if I want to use my HAM rig to tx on my work freqs.

I am a retired FF/Paramedic and used my HT frequently on 155 mHz. I would have to be very motivated to find and use something that'll transmit on those frequencies.

I'm sure some of the EMS forum's have discussions on this topic.

I have heard somewhere ( where escapes me at the moment) that the business radios were supposed to be going to a FM narrow or narrower deveation than what ham rigs do...If that is teh case using a ham radio would exceed allowed tx bandwidth on business frequencies

I could be wrong on this.....wouldnt hurt to make an effort to find out for sure.

I heard a few years back a major city in the N.E. states set up their entire fire department with modded ham radios for their comms ( because the ham radios were cheaper than commercial radios)...Somehow the FCC caught wind of this and made the city change out all of their radios

More specifcs

Okay so the frequency Ranges I am most interested in are 30-50, 225-420,806-824,851-869,902-928(HAM 33cm band), 935-941, 1240-1300(HAM 23cm band) 2300-2450(HAM 13cm band). I can cover the 225-420, and the 800MHz Trunk Mobile Ranges with a Thales Liberty or a Unity XG100-P/M. That leaves me with just the HAM 33,23, and 13cm ranges and the 935-941 and 20-50 ranges to cover, does anyone know any good mobile rigs/hand-transceivers that hit these ranges, from what I have seen they are kinda odd ball ranges. The goal here is to have a Full-Range/Full-band TX capability. EDIT: I can cover the 1240-1300 with a DJ-G7 hand-transceiver and the 902-928 with a DJ-G29T hand-transceiver but still wondering what mobile options are, would like to cover the 33/23/13cm bands in one unit if possible.

DON'T DO IT! Ham radios are NOT FCC type accepted for use on Business/Public Safety radio frequencies.

Oh, and audio output is directly related to transmitter deviation, so, if you turn down the deviation to "narrowband it", the TX will be narrowband but the RX will not. Listening to other narrow band transmitters, the audio will sound weak.

how the change the frequency band on wouxun kg-819

i have a smaller problem,i have a wouxun kg-819 i use a frequency 169. but the hand set only have the range of 400mhz 450mhx ,,is there any way i can change the hand set to use my frequency...plx help ASAP

One HT that would cover/transmit on all the ranges you specified? 'Fraid you're out of luck, unless you want to spend a hugely ridiculous amount for a custom radio. And even if you did have the finances for one, I seriously doubt if it would be an HT anymore.
As for modifying radios, such as 'techdeen' asked about, I think that's another one of those "forget it" thingys. If the desired frequency is fairly close to a radio's normal range there may be a chance of it. If it's not close to that normal range it would mean a re-build and just not very likely/practical at all.
And then the legalities part. Using a ham radio on 'commercial' frequencies is a 'no-no' and frowned on for several reasons (abilities for one). You'd be better off finding a commercial radio that's capable of the ham bands. The only one that I'm aware of having that capability are the Wouxun HTs. They won't do it all either but they are at least legal for both uses.
Oh well...
