I haven't seen anything on any of the posts about the original antenna and its purported "22 db" gain. That's 22 db relative to what? Isotropic? Dipole? Dummy load? Steamed broccoli?

Yeah the Beverages will do that but you 1) have to have the land to string one out straight and 2) they are highly directional out the end so forget about any kind of 22db omni gain.
