38 LOWER: thats awesome!

Lots of nonsense on 38 for sure. However today while traveling from Midland to Lubbock Texas, I made quick contacts with a station in Hawaii and Ireland from a mobile. It seems like the kids were napping for a while.
You weren't far from me my friend. Straight north on I-27 right off of 119A and you'd have been right in my stomping grounds.

I don’t think I’ve ever made it as far west of Texas from my mobile I’m based in the 29 division once they hear my Irish Accent they all want to talk I get on real good with Americans on the radio

What are your numbers? I will be listening for you on the east coast of Delaware.

I think of 38 as the "Playoff channel" where idiots practice being bigger idiots until finally graduating to the Super Bowl channel. I'm about 40 miles SW of Houston and I've heard SSB QSOs on channels 34 to 40 and have noticed the Idiot factor has been creeping down to 37 and above 40. I'm sure there are plenty of good operators on the West coast, but those Playoff guys sure test my patience. Sadly, I've heard almost zero SSB stations on Ch.16, and that's a shame, yet my Midland 13-880b is always listing.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
