4 pin mic to 5 pin Radio Cobra.

I don't have one to take apart to look at, I have a spare Uniden cable adpt. that came with a 980 ssb and was going to change the end that goes into the 6 pin uniden to a 5 pin cobra. then I would have a nice 6" cable to plug into my 5 pin cobra radio and connect to any 4 pin mic.

Thanks Binrat They do have adapters so It should work, I will give it a try.

Just buy an 4 to 5 pin adapter plug from Texcomm on eBay; cost is about ~$6/shipped . . .

Tired from buying stuff and broke too.Cut the 6 pin end off wired with meter to a new 5 pin connector added the shield wire to the 4 pin end that wasn't connected, Done deal. Trying to use stuff I have and one more thing shows up in the mail and someone will not be happy. Looks Like it came from the store and works. Needed for my microphone key up box so It's out of the way.
