I may be interested in the first microphone. I am looking for a good match for my magnums45 radio.
Currently I use a rf limited 2018 and I like the way it sounds, but would like a desk microphone as well. What is it wired for?

The 1104c is still the best desk mic you can get, I have several and run one every day on a Yaesu 101zdMKIII

Just wanted to say I bought the Astatic 1104c. It got to me well packaged and works great. I have it hooked up to my Magnum s45 and after fiddling with the controls and the mike gain on the radio I got her sounding good. Got some dx reports of good audio this morning. Just running the radio with no extra heat.

I recorded myself with the radio in my pickup just a very short distance away and this combo seems to have some great loud audio.

I think it sounds the best with the tone control at about 3/4 of the way up.

If all goes as planned this place will be sold and hopefully within a few months I will be back with a real antenna. I really want to see how this mike will pair up with my Cobra 139XLR, but it is in storage.

I just don't care for a desk microphone that needs to sit on a flat surface.I much prefer a D-104 that I can sit on my lap or even on my belly & I have many with different elements & the T3,10-D,10-DA, or 10-C all sound amazing on AM or SSB.
