hello to all
has any one here have or tried a 55 bowtie whipping stick.
it suppose to increase the output signal by 1/2 to 1 s unit .?? i bought a set i can tune 1 to 1 1/2 watts of reflect at 700 watts forward then here is where i have problem when i put the front one on best lowest reflect i can do is 10 watts with both antena on
on swr meter reads 1.1 when i check back door with field strengh meter no reading at all i ended with rear at 84inches and front 74 inches diff of 10 not 5 like my r4 coils. then when i get a report on my coils audio is loud but on bowties they say audio drops like when you are on a beam from verticle to flat.????:confused1:

... I just wish I understood what he said.
I do understand what he said was claimed for those two antennas, which is nonsense unless they are much more than what I think they are. And I'm really sorry, but you can't do that sort of 'optimizing' with -only- an SWR/watt meter. That'd be a real trick!

I also didn't realize that audio can be increased or decreased by the antenna.
Strange that most keydown guys tune multiple antenna with field strength meters. LOL

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
