Recently discovered a local club is getting a 6 meter repeater online. Used to have one years ago, fun times that was.

I got all excited, until today. They are linking it up with the local 2 meter and 440 machines. What a drag!

Our surrounding 2/440 repeaters are fairly active. I don't like talking on the local repeaters. 6 and 10 meter repeaters don't count, I consider them to be a different animal. Just a waste of a good 6 meter repeater linking it up like that.

It's a shame, as it's location is in a very choice spot with regional coverage. I'm not a club member, so I can't bitch.

There used to be a 6m repeater about 25 miles east of my location. Not sure if it is still on the air or not. They were having trouble getting someone to maintain and service it. The squelch kept opening up and the courtesy tone would get annoying after a while of repeated kerchunking and beeping. Not sure if they took it off the air or switch to CTCSS tone access. It was fun to work thru. Much different than the 2m repeater as it catered to a different crowd.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
