Spoke with KE8FD in South Carolina on 6 meters. Gave me a 5/5 signal on my RCI-5054dx 25 watts , hamstick dipole in attic.
He had a 5 element Cushcraft in the attic.

Hey Ron we finally had 6m band open up on Sunday.Talked too many stations in southern California sunday morning and by late afternoon we had stations from Colorado to Michingan

I'll bet he didn't rotate it. Man I need to get off of 20m and 80m and get back on 6m.I miss ALL the openings.I've got the radio and the antenna (6 element homebrew) just not the discipline. :?
