Does anyone have a schematic for a 811 amp? I found one a website but do not understand it. It has the input going to the # 1 pin. (filament connection)? I have built sweep tube amps before but this is something different. A simple schematic is what I need because of "brain-dead" syndrome. Any help would be appreciated. Ray

The input RF is applied through a capacitor to the filament which is also the cathode of the 811A type tubes as well as several others. The RF is blocked from feeding back into the filament transformer by a filament choke and bypass capacitors. They are what are know as directly heated cathode type tubes. The type that has a separate filament and cathode are called indiirectly heated types.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
