Can't find any specs on this radio. How big of a power supply does this thing need?

A good rule of thumb is to look at the fuse it comes with. A 15 - 20 amp power supply will run it easily. A 10 amp might work but it's pushing it.

I run a 36 amp Megawatt PS, with the 955, and its overkill. I do have 2 radios and a small 2m 50 watt amp with Zero problems.

Are we still talking power supplies, or RF power out?

40-100 watts depending on mode. It's been tuned, and its a great radio.

100 watts is a sign it's been screwdrivered.
Much over 50-60 watts and it's absolutely nasty.

Doesn’t it do 70 or so out the box? Or am I thinking of the 497?

    Might be the 497.
I have a couple 955s and they will do a lot more power but it's pretty nasty.

Reports are always good on 10 meters, and anyone I have ever had a QSO with confirms this. Not all radios that are tuned well sound like shit ok.

It's your radio. You are free to screwdriver it all day.
    Have fun.
