9V supply for mic

YUCK! I would not do it. Wall warts are not regulated so a typical 9 volt wall wart may put out as much as 12 volts and the mic will not load it down much. They also tend to have poor filtering so there is a good possibility of a hummmmmmm. You could try it and see but...........

I had a Turner +3B microphone that I wired to take 8 volts directly from the radio through the mike jack and it worked great. Something to consider if you have a spare pin available in the mike jack.

I tried that a long time ago. I had an old archer 9 volt battery eliminator. I tried it on an Realistic Turner +2 clone. It hummed like a banshee.

A buddy tried it on his D104 around 4-5 years ago, it had the same result.

My brother in law bought that adapter for me to use on an old AM radio. I listened to that radio non stop and fell asleep listening to it. Saved me from spending paper route money on batteries. I still have the adapter, it still works.
