Acceptable SWR for 2-pill?

What is an acceptable SWR for a 2-pill, a TS350HDV with two 2879s?

I'm right about 2:1 right now (radio only), and if I install the amp I need to know if I need to mess the the antenna (a 102). I would prefer to not mess with the antenna if not necessary.

I wouldn't run an amp with the SWR higher than 1.5:1. The lower you can get it, the better off you will be. The amp will run cooler and last longer.

I have to agree with 999. If you expect to get the right results from your amp AND minimize the risk of damaging it you really should wait until you can lower the SWR's. Especially with that much power.

Antenna is not correct...Grounding/feedline/mounting location issue somewhere ...should show 1.5:1 or less if everything is set-up correctly
