FT-891 RADIO PROGRAMMING SOFTWARE at:

I'm trying to program memories on my 891 and it tedious using the rig buttons.
The ability to do it on a Win computer sounds easier to manage
Has anyone tried this software on an 891 or any Yaesu radio?

I have used RT Systems software for a couple other rigs in the past. Since it is radio specific it is very well thought out for that particular rig from what I have seen. It is reasonably priced I think too. It is less cumbersome than using something like CHIRP which is designed for a large host of transceivers.

I have used the ADMS software for my Yaesu FT-857 as well as my Kenwood TM-V71A. Both work great for programming and are quite easy to use. You must first copy from the radio to the computer before writing into memory however. Some people miss that and can't understand why they have a problem.

I have RT Systems software for the 891, works great on Windows 10 & 11. It's much easier to program the memories and makes cloning to another 891 a breeze too.

I have the RT software for many radios.

I have the 857 which is similar to your radio. I have both the Yaesu ADMS and RT software. I like the interface compared to the Yaesu software.

Enjoy your radio.

RT Systems software for the Yaesu 857 IS the ADMS-4B. What do you mean you have two different software programs for it? https://www.rtsystemsinc.com/FT-857D_c_130.html
