Just putting this out there...

Tom has his own Facebook group for Ameritron amplifiers. He's the admin and is very active in answering questions and helping to troubleshoot. He even has documentation, schematics on current and older units. He no longer works for MFJ.

Good stuff! I only posess a facebook troll account so I don't get added to groups.
Facebook saw fit to lock and delete my account of 8 years because I said f*ck too many times. Now they've relaxed their "expression" policy and dropping the f bomb is now ok again but my account was wiped clean. No love here for fb hahaha!

    Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
