Will a HTA 20, 2 m, 30 watt Amplifier work on a CB? I live out in the country and my mobile won't tald back to house when I get a few miles out. Will this 2 meter amp work?

Pretty sure it won't.
Sounds like you need a better antenna for the radio.
I am surrounded by miles of urban sprawl; and I still get ~20 miles on my Wilson 1000 magnet mount.

What kind of radio/antenna are you using?

i bought an rm italy kl200 for my fathers truck so he could reach out a bit better. i have a worldwide mf440 we talk everywhere he gets out a god thirty miles or so the amp was only around 70 bucks.(y)

To answer your question, No the Amplifier definitely will not work on CB. You should first concentrate on antenna systems. Are your antennas properly tuned? What are you using for a base antenna?

Optimizing antennas would probably be the most beneficial first step.

I second Rob, you need an antenna, I can get more than 2-3 miles from my old school Realistic handhelds. Try that amp on 2meter, and it likely will fry it. Best sell it or trade for something useful, or since you already got a piece of equipment, spend a few hours of study and get your ham licence. Its like a whole new world of fun over CB. You already got the amp, all you need is order a cheap chinese 2meter handheld off ebay for $60.
