Okay i am going to get a magnum s9, what amp should i run with it? it is going into my car, i am thinking about a texas star 500v, that a good amp to run? if so where can i get a good used one?
That amp should be a good match. But go with the non-variabe model. Also set you D/K to about 1.5 - 1.75W or a 1:4 match on the amp D/K to swing reading.
Good choice, I prefer the variable actually but no biggie. Anything class AB or B with two 2879 finals will work great. The TS500 is nice as well as TnT 600, TnT 350 by X-Force.
To me, the only time a variable is useful is if the amp is going to be a driver amp. If you have variable on the radio, or have it set where you want, then ditch that variable if it's a final box.
