does anybody know if there is a difference from an amplified mike to a pre-amplified and if any advantges
i have a non amplified tug-8 mike and was looking at this=https://www.ebay.com/itm/174339450360

I have 2 of those boards and they work pretty good for my taste

The only problem is the output is too hot and needs to be tame by the radio mic gain/dynamike

It is a matter of semantics. An amplified microphone uses a preamplifier in it. No such thing as a preamplified microphone. A preamp is simply a small low signal level amplifier used ahead of the main amp to boost signals hence the preamp in the microphone itself.
