I know I'm really wearing this issue out but, I talked to my local alternator starter guy, and he said he would build me a 160 amp alt with internal voltage regulator, that would drop and fit right in place of the present 65 amp stock alt. But, he said I'd need an additional battery also, to handle the approx 850 watt linear. "I thought" if I had the appropriate amp alternator power to run the linear, lights etc., I wouldn't need an additional battery???
Right now I've got a 900cca/1000ca battery, along with the 160 amp alternator (which will be soon installed), shouldn't this be AOK to run an 850 watt linear.
Sorry, I hope I don't sound like I'm repeating the two battery question. I just seem to get conflicting opinions.
Thanks, Hossless
