LOL SERIOUSLY? What's unfair? It's Ebay. Pay what you want or loose the auction. If you want cheap handouts look for deals at a Good Will store. What separates radio hobbyists apart from any other hobbyist? Should a classic car owner sell it extra cheap just to give the next guy a deal?
