Fairness to this seller looks like he just sells swap meet and estate sales bric a brac.
I saw no other radio items. I doubt he knew anything about the meter. Just saw what comps went for and posted it.
Some sellers intentionally sell broken gear and I've had those too.
Namely a linear. And after a month of fighting eBay found in my favor. I try to stay off of there but some items you can't find.
I'm not quite rolling in @NightThumper league so I dont have two of HIS meters
I need a twin to the meter I have as a after switch swr meter for my two runs of coax.

I've ran into a couple great deals buying from estate sellers. I picked up a Bird 4412 peak reader with the 10k slug for $200 shipped and another for $260 also with a 10k slug.
Most my easy ebay returns were from estate sellers like yours. The radio peeps fought me more but still lost and ive had luck beating bogus buyers too.

BTW,, its not only Ebay burns.. I have been burned on Amazon. At least ebay lets you request a rebate.

Im dealing with amazon bs right now.
Bought from a private seller who instead of sending a casenof 12 as was ordered they sent me 2. Pain in the ass...

The only meters/meter parts i buy on eBay are Birds and they are from one of 2 sellers only. Every other meter ive purchased from eBay have been junk. Ive pretty much stopped doing all business on ebay. Ill sell my shit local or not at all.

I totally agree, I also buy&sell stuff locally however, you get 2 legit calls out of 20 (many texts requiring banking info). Looks like many people don’t want to work anymore and they rely on scamming, it’s just too bad because it never used to be this bad.
