antenna advice

hi guys, can u tell me if i purchase an A99 antenna will this be suitable for cb work (local chatting).and also suitable for DX-ING

yeah that would work perfect for local talk. But if you want to talk skip your pry gonna need a amp and maby a I-MAX 2000 or a I10K. Im sure someone else will come along and give you advice but it will work, Later CDX197

the a99 works fine for skip and local. but the imax2000 will just work better. a99 = 1/2wave over a 1/4 wave. imax2000 = 5/8wave over a 1/4 wave.

but they will both work fine get some good thick coax and get either one you choose the bottom of antenna as high as you can like above 36 feet or more.
