234 divided by 800mhz = 0.29 1/4 wave antenna. This sounds right ?
Going to make dif. Antennas for each band I listening to using 20awg wire for swl and vhf and up recieving.
 

Close enough. As you get into VHF and especially UHF that number 234 starts to go out the window for a couple reasons but for a receiving antenna it is close enough.For my 800 MHz monitoring I used a 6 dB mobile cellular phone antenna. It is about 16 inches or so long. Works great.
