antenna switch

i have a 102" whip up now, works great, i live in town so antenna options are limited. I was thinking about running another coax and trying out a 1/2 wave homemade dipole mounted horizontal. if it works out good what would be a good switch to use instead of swapping coax all the time.

You may be able to mount three connectors on a small metal box along with a simple toggle switch. Nothing fancy is needed. Keep the wire leads short and the SWR should be entirely acceptable.

thanks, got the dipole made, if some warmer weather comes ill give it a try

Buy or build a switch anyhow. If nothing else you can connect a dummy load to the other port and measure SWR of the switch.
