The 2nd amendment is indeed about citizen's right to own firearms and overthrow the government if they become oppressive.

The 2nd amendment is the #1 misinterpreted amendment in the whole constitution. I don't think the NRA ever figured it out to this day.

I can't wait for the next crazy NRA conspiracy to increase memberships and drive up ammo/gun prices while harming the sensible gun owners like me.

the Second Amendment protects an individual's right to possess a firearm, unconnected to service in a militia and to use that arm for traditionally lawful purposes, such as self-defense within the home...
