Sorry to disturb an old thread, but Mike is right. The safest VPNs are the ones you make yourself, and no one knows what security devices you use. I think most paid and free VPNs out there are not secure enough and can be accessed by the CIA, for instance, if they need any info.
We’re on our own online now, and if you want to stay safe, use various services like your own self-made VPNs or proxies like https://soax.com/india-vpn-proxy-chrome-extension that don’t come from the US. It’s less possible that it’s that controlled by the government than the services based in the US.
