Anybody got a blue display/meter 3900?

Hello. I've got myself a brand new superstar 3900 but am quite concerned. Is it normal for the mic socket to get slightly warm after about 30 mins or so of me using the rig? It happens on am and fm but not ssb. The hottest part of the radio seems to be where the 2 screws are at the back on the mic socket side of the radio. I'm quite worried and wonder if i should return it. Feedback from ss3900 consumers is welcome.Ta muchly.Jill

    Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
