Anybody own one of these?

I used to have a D104 with a lap bar that had the mic gain control mounted on top of the base but like m42duster said, set it and forget it.

It would come in handy for different radios.

Those things were popular in the 80's and faded away. I don't think anyone is making them anymore but I can't imagine it would be all that hard to make your own.

I am another set-and-forget user. Then again all my radios have a microphone gain adjustment on the front panel to fine tune things a bit. I would think the only time you would need to change a setting would be if changing radios and then only once to suit it.

gee, I followed the link and when I saw the font for the item, I remembered that I had seen that font somewhere before, it runs over itself and is odd.

... seems to me there was a thread on here about a snakeoil "DC to daylight" antenna

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
