Thinking of buying a Yaesu FT-100D complete with the separation kit and all the mounts.I would just like to know of people's personal opinions of this rig.It won't happen for a couple of months untill I have all my pennies saved.I plan to used it on all bands and modes including 11m and also for 2mFM as well as 2m SSB.Thanks.

I have one. Had for about 3 months now. Use it mostly for VHF work but modded it and made some 11 meter contacts. I got it for it's size. If you want to go out of band on VHF or UHF try a 706. The 100D has it's limits.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
