What is the voltage on Pin 6 of the Anytone AT6666PRO's mike jack used to power the stock electret mike ?? I'm in the Med away from the farm and can't measure it myself right now. The AT6666PRO's user manual just says +DC. Anyone measure this voltage ?? Help. . . please. I'm buying some parts and need to know that volltage. GRACIAS AMIGOS.

AI (for what that's worth) says +4.5VDC on pin 1

Stand by, I'm going out to the car to measure mine.

MUCHAS GRACIAS , Superlid & Crawdad Pretty certain it's 12vdc. I asked AI before posting this thread, and the reply said it didn't know. So I'll go with SL's real world measurement. Thanks for bailing me out guys. 73.

It's almost certainly supposed to be 5 volts. Not sure why super lids reading is so high..... voltage regulation must not be very good.

edit: never mind I see JJ figured it out.

I gave you both figures because pin 1 is Mic ground

I made a mistake. I meant, from pin 6 to pin 5 (gnd) I saw 8.5 VDC. From pin 6 to vehicle ground, I saw 12 VDC

A lot of electrete mic elements have a very wide voltage that they will operate at.

The gain will be rated at a very specific voltage but often something that will have a 4volt rating if you can actualy find a print for it will have an operating voltage of 12V-36V. Sadly though their is no universal rule of them and each element is it's own thing and finding a white paper on it from anyone other than the OEM or if purchasing from some one like Digi-Key or Mouser can be almost impossible.

You often have to purchase a bunch of them and do your own destruction testing and maping to know what you have. Some Mic element sales companies are very well documented and above the board and then some are like Palomar MaxMod sort of thing or Ranger RT1 situation where you have no clue what you have.
