yes the 40 miles was good
but that also was in one direction
where antenna had on upstructed line of sight

am not sure how far it goes in worst direction
i rarly use it....just keep it as a back up

That's pretty impressive to say the least , IM lucky in my car if I can talk 30 miles with 400 watts in the Los Angeles area on the AM side .

well slight advantage is..
while on top of refridge..
it is about 25 ft high with easy line of site for about 120 degrees

The pizza pan trick didn't work for me, so I moved my stuff into the living room. I'm getting much better reception in here and it's even better when I put my antenna out on the balcony. I live close to I-35 in Austin and traffic here is terrible, so I get plenty of talk from the frustrated truckers out there.
