Apartment operation

Unfortunantly I am stuck on 1st floor of an apartment wich is on the south side of the building facing away from sunset . Anyone have any ideas on what I can do to be able to get in. Keep in mind they dont alow outside antenas.

Mobiles make it in from out your way, no problem.

Eventually there will be multiple receivers spread around So Cal. I know they were looking at Moreno Valley or Box Springs which would probably help in your case.

If you had a crossbanding dual band radio in your car with a decent antenna, you could easily talk on an HT from your apartment to the car, and from the car to Sunset.

Perhaps a small beam pointing to the running springs input, or a small uhf beam pointed to the hill from indoors.

Other than that a dipole outside made from that lacquered wire you wind transformers with is an option (its what i use for my 10m stuff). Try a dipole or small j pole made from transformer wire?

I did some antenna expieraments the other day using an upgraded HT antenna, a 2mtr yagi and 2 diffrent mag mounts. Ironicly the best signal I got was from the HT antenna. the 2mtr yagi came in well to. BTW if anyone has a good duel band magmount for sale IM me.
