hello. I recently got hold of a old ar3500(100 watt model) radio that works great in AM but not in lsb,usb, or fm. I'm just getting my feet wet in the hobby and want to attempt to figure out what is wrong with it.
Basically in the modes that don't work I can receive but I can't transmit. I key the mic,say some thing and get zero on the watt meter. Maybe with some guidance in the direction to trouble shoot I can get it working as it should be.I do know a good tech, but he doesn't work on radios but with any input we should be able to get an idea at what's going on.
Like I said it works great in am mode.I talked skip the other night in my truck with it.I can post pics if you think it would help.
