My daily talker is a Grant LT and after doing multiple mods on XL's and LT's over the years I found a great combo is to add a TRB-X2 inside the radio and a Ranger SRA-158. I turn up the gain on the audio amp board on the TRB-X2 to max and then run the radio mic gain at 9 o'clock. End results is very clean, loud audio. Had nothing but good reports when I set it up like that. Still one of my favorite radios :) I just recently added a UTB to my daily talker as well. Fun stuff.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
