Astatic AST-878DM Base Mic

Hi ball the ptt are used I trod a couple different things ground switch using a small relay either dosent work or messes up ghee switching very strange
Woimdering about a small Toggle inside the mic under the ptt switch..
A small push button switch under the ptt might work if you can fit it in there. You might be able to hijack the contact that switches the audio wire. Cut the traces for the audio and connect them together, they don't need to be switched. (This is also a fix for a switch that makes a scratchy noise in the audio.) Then use this contact to switch your power. The picture I have in the post above shows which pins on the switch to use.

Hi all figured out my power problem adding a condenser to this mic. Ast878dm.. Can't run it directly off the battery even though nits a ground switch.. The circuit won't shut down after you key up hence killing the battery nin a week.. Need to solder the positive lead feeding power to the condenser to the positive leg of capacitor C1.. Works great..

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
