Astatic D-104


Woody i just find out about Heils D-104 upgrade so i haven't had a chance to try one yet. EDUK8TR has done the mod and seems to be happy with it. I will be placing order soon and will post my thoughts.
 
I just put one in a d-104 tha ti have wired to a yaesu 101e i compared it to my other d-104 i was way louder and had 100time better clarity. No tinty sound like the usual D-104 have nice clean audio .People say is sound like i'm right in the room with them . I use dthe heil DX dream element i really like for DXing it really make you stand out more :D

    Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
