I'm running my 2970n2 on a power supply in my shack. With a d 104 night eagle base mic it sounds great. Good clear audio, no problems. When I try to run a hand held d 104 I get a bad squeal and can only run my mic barley cracked open which gives little to no audio. thought it was the mic so I tried another d104 hand held and got the same exact results. Swapped batteries, checked wiring. All seems to be right. Any thoughts as to why this radio does not like the hand held d104s? Nothing has been done to radio other than converted and aligned.
