The Lafayette Telsat 1140 is listed on the Astatic website showing the wiring sequence. But that pattern doesn't work; the set transmits as soon as mic plug is inserted. No audio either. I've tried many configurations and still no luck.

Any ideas on the right wiring diagram for this set?

Here,s the info I have the plug is configured like this....

1.Audio

2.Transmit

3.Common

4.Ground

5. Receive

A common problem that many folks have with DIN plugs is that the numbers dont go around the plug in order!

IF you are looking at the solder end of the plug it goes like this... from your left to right it goes 1-4-2-5-3 not 1-2-3-4-5.

And which astatic mike is it anyway?

Good luck!

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
